A Working Group to develop draft recommendations for review by the larger group started meeting on Dec 15th followed by three meetings in January and one in early February.  Members of this group are:

     Betsy Byrne, NPS facilitator

     Jim Webster, GSAR

     Brian Murdock, neighbor

     Richard Cooke, neighbor

Maddie Logowitz, Grand County Active Trails

     Sara Melnicoff, Moab Solutions

Kara Dohrenwend, Rim to Rim Restoration and note taker

     Mila Dunbar-Irwin, Grand County Planning

The group set out to reach consensus about recommendations for the Powerdam Area/Front Country, the Middle Country access points and canyon areas and the Back Country areas of the canyon including the Riparian Corridor.

The smaller group will bring these recommendation to the larger group at a meeting in late February with the intention of having a final document to present to the BLM, City of Moab, Grand County and adjacent land owners with long and short term recommendations for actions that will help protect the ecological and archeological integrity of the canyon.

Notes and information presented by this group is included here for your review.
