In 1996, responding to an increase in recreation and impacts to the canyon, a group of people organized to work with the BLM and other land managers to find ways to address recreational impacts in Mill Creek. At that time, uses like grazing and vehicle access to the first falls up the north fork were discontinued, while hiking and other recreational uses were increasing. Recently recreational use levels have increased dramatically. The first Mill Creek Partnership members signed an MOU and worked together over 5 years to draft recommendations to the BLM for managing Mill Creek. More about these historical efforts will be loaded to this webpage soon!
